frequency synthesizers, modems and other related items.
TMD maintain a comprehensive development laboratory equipped with
modern test equipment such as vector network analysers,
spectrum analysers, signal generators, high speed storage scopes etc.
|Software Engineering: Microcontroller firmware for embedded applications. For speed of
development, maintenance and portability, software is written wherever
possible, in high level languages (e.g., ' C'), with assembler being used as
required. Experienced with many microcontrollers including Microchip PIC,
8051, Motorola and more.
|Data Communications: High speed, high integrity data
communication via radio (e.g., VHF, UHF, spread spectrum) or cable systems
or combinations thereof.
|Design rationalisation and cost reduction engineering:
To take existing products and designs and rationalise for ease of
manufacture and reduced cost.
Implementation of very compact and very low power, microcomputer based
Mount Technology (SMT):
Implementation of designs utilising surface mount technology components of
Aided Design (CAD):
Printed circuit board design and computer aided simulation and circuit
modelling facilities available.
Signal Processing (DSP): Resources available for product development
utilising Texas Instruments DSP devices.
